Dennis’s passion for construction and development began early on as he worked on UC Construction job sites throughout his youth. After graduating from San Francisco State University, Dennis continued his education for an additional two years with postgraduate courses focusing on accounting and finance before officially joining the UC Construction team in 1989.
He began working on projects ranging from commercial and high-density residential within San Francisco to residential subdivisions throughout the Bay Area. Dennis’s keen business sense and skills in management and marketing strengthened the company, and, in 1993, he took over the day-to-day operations of UC Construction. That same year, UC Construction entered the Central Valley market as a general contractor and developer.
Since entering the Central Valley, Dennis has spearheaded the design and development of new home communities under the marketing name of Fitzpatrick Homes as well as constructed commercial/retail projects throughout the state, which includes working with national retailers such as Ross, Rite Aid, Valvoline Instant Oil Change, DaVita Dialysis, Dignity Funeral Homes, Anna’s Linens, Rainbow Apparel and Wells Fargo. In addition, Dennis has collaborated with other regional builders and worked with various city planning departments to design and create multiple residential master-planned communities, such as Crossroads in Riverbank, CA, Northeast Turlock Specific Plan in Turlock, CA, and Woodglen in Modesto, CA. Involved in all aspects of construction management, finance, planning and marketing successful projects, he leads UC Construction through long-term planning and foresight, establishing a standard for excellence in all areas of business.
