UC Construction has been a leading residential contractor for over 60 years. We are currently seeking a senior superintendent with a minimum of ten years of high-density residential ground-up construction experience to construct multifamily project in National City, CA. Experience must include preconstruction meetings with subcontractors and consultants, coordination of project documents, plans and specifications including the maintenance of project schedules and have extensive field construction experience at the supervisory level including a working knowledge of all sub trades. Candidate to be self-driven and have good communication, organizational and computer skills.

Permit Ready – 76-unit apartment project starting in November 2023.

Responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Hold pre-construction meetings with consultants and subcontractors.
• Ability to review all drawings and identify specifications and execute construction per plan.
• Ability to identify conflicts or deficiencies in plans and specifications
• Enforce scopes of work.
• Perform daily oversight of construction site, including scheduling, job-cleanliness, safety, production, staging of materials, directing of manpower and all subcontractor management.
• Excellent communication skills including, problem solving, responds well to questions, listens and leads by example.
• Arrange and attend regular site meetings with subcontractors.
• Assure work quality — set standards for quality control.
• Ensure work performed by crew and subcontractors adhere to plans and specifications.
• Ensure that all construction activities remain on schedule.
• Responsible for all aspects of jobsite safety including daily safety checks and weekly safety meeting.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures according to OSHA regulations.
• Responsible for scheduling City and third party inspections and sign offs.
• Document and complete all punch lists in a timely manner.
• See project through from startup to final walk through.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
• Working knowledge of Procore.
• Must be dependable and present a professional image.
